Powered lifting with electric floor jacks have arrived and we want to share some considerations for models in our GarageMax Ejack series.
Caster Wheels and Big Wheels
Caster wheel floor jacks were the mainstay of the market until 2018 when the first big wheel jack came out. The big wheels are usually composite poly material and in addition to being quieter, they are agile on a variety of surfaces including off-road, sand, grass, gravel, asphalt, and work on concrete garage floors as well.
The trade-off is the caster wheel jacks allow pulling from side to side. When a big wheel jack is being moved it needs a fixed handle position so the jack can be dollied. Our big wheel jacks have “T” handles that can be positioned to allow free movement of the handle or turned to lock the handle in place at 90, 45, and 0 degrees (flat) to lift or move the ejack around.
The ROADTEK RGM-2T is a lighter weight aluminum-steel hybrid and has the composite wheels.
The ROADTEK RGM-3TCLW is a heavy-duty steel model with composite caster wheels.
Lifting Height And Low Profile Models
ROADTEK steel models ship with steel handles in black powder coat and include both big wheel and caster wheel models in low profile and long reach. ROADTEK aluminum-steel models have lighter weight silver colored aluminum handles and only come in big wheel options at this time.
Low (LW) and Long Reach (LG) models are both low profile as you can see from the min lifting height on the chart above.

All ROADTEK EJacks and Jack Stands are ASME PASE certified and come with a 1 year warranty.
