Mickey Thompson pre-runner Auction to support veteran non-profit Warfighter Made and the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame

Ed: Warfighter Made burst into my awareness over the last several months, I saw “Beefy” at the Mint 400, then I started noticing the logo more and more. I have since become a Warfighter Made volunteer, Rob Blanton and Danny Novoa have built an impressively supportive community that I am grateful to be a part of.

We have an incredibly exciting opportunity to share with you! Live now on Bring-A-Trailer is a charity auction to benefit the 501(c)(3) non-profits – Warfighter Made and Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame – one winning bidder will take home this historic vehicle.

Act now—the auction closes in 5 Days on Monday, July 14th, 2025 – don’t miss it!

This baja buggy was reportedly constructed by Mickey Thompson and was gifted to Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF) member Dick Landfield in the 1980s. It remained in Landfield’s possession and spent time in the ORMHOF collection until it was donated to the current owner several years ago. The buggy features a Hi-Jumper tubular steel frame finished in blue and is powered by a 1,835cc Volkswagen dual-port flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a Zenith carburetor, a Tri-Mil exhaust system, four-wheel drum brakes, independent rear suspension, staggered-diameter polished wheels, headlights and taillights, Marchal driving lamps, high-back bucket seats, and Simpson latch-and-link harnesses.

This unique collaboration with Warfighter Made provides both non-profits with a portion of the proceeds. Warfighter Made is committed to improving the mental health of military service members, veterans, and their families through recreational therapy, camaraderie therapy, S.T.E.M. educational youth programs, and family-oriented events that promote connection and healing. ORMHOF‘s mission is to educate and inspire present and future generations of the off-road community by celebrating the achievements of those who came before.
