PlayVS has renewed its partnership with NASCAR and iRacing to continue supporting the eNASCAR College iRacing Series, a competitive sim racing league for college students in North America. The 2025–26 season will also mark the debut of PlayVS as the official league platform, following its acquisition of Playfly College Esports.
Launched in 2022, the eNASCAR College iRacing Series provides full-time college students with the opportunity to compete in virtual stock car races using iRacing’s simulation software. Participants can earn scholarship prizes and gain exposure to career opportunities in motorsports and esports.
The series currently includes participants from more than 300 schools and nearly 500 student racers. In April, the 2024–25 season concluded with Cal State Fullerton’s Logan Clampitt winning at Homestead-Miami Speedway and receiving a $10,000 scholarship.
According to Charles O’Donnell, senior director of college esports at PlayVS, the renewed partnership reflects PlayVS’s focus on deepening its role in the collegiate esports landscape. “The eNASCAR College iRacing Series is not just about virtual racing,” he said. “It’s a launchpad for future talent in motorsports, gaming, and media.”
NASCAR echoed that sentiment. “The eNASCAR College iRacing Series is more than just competition—it’s a foundational bridge between the collegiate esports ecosystem and the world of NASCAR,” said Ray Smith, senior director of esports at NASCAR. “As we enter the 2025–26 season, this partnership strengthens our commitment to developing young talent, expanding access, and inspiring the next generation of motorsports professionals.”
Students participate from their dorm rooms, gaming arenas, or home setups using iRacing’s hyper-realistic simulation platform, which closely replicates the experience of professional stock car racing. The upcoming season will feature new tracks, expanded prize offerings, and other updates, which will be announced later this summer.
