The eight-time world champion, last seen taking victory at Rallye Monte-Carlo in January, lines up in one of five Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 cars for the event – which joins the WRC calendar for the first time after years as a European championship favourite.
Ogier is joined by championship leader Elfyn Evans, double world champion Kalle Rovanperä, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari. With Ogier back in the mix, Katsuta and Pajari will be the nominated scorers for Toyota’s second team.
Hyundai Motorsport brings its usual trio of Ott Tänak, Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux. Still searching for a first win in 2025, the team has entered Neuville – the reigning champion – into this week’s ERC-counting Rally Sierra Morena to gain extra asphalt mileage ahead of round four.
M-Sport Ford fields a two-car team with Grégoire Munster and Josh McErlean piloting identical Puma Rally1s, while leading entries in the 34 strong WRC2 field include brothers Yohan and Leo Rossel, Jan Černy, Roberto Daprà and Emil Lindholm.
