DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) will have a slightly revised livery for next week’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The car, of course, is better known as “Rexy” and the T-Rex-liveried car takes on a new look.
Back in January at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, while fighting for the lead, “Rexy” had contact with another car, which resulted in damage to its ferocious T-Rex smile.
At the end of the race weekend, the team sent him straight to the orthodontist, and now the car has a beautiful new smile. The team also took him to its “dinosaur DNA doctors,” who gave him a thorough look-over and prescribed some Mobil 1 to keep everyone’s favorite T-Rex running strong! Fans will see him holding this new addition starting at Sebring International Raceway, March 13-15.
