Reston, VA —Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced the official pricing for its refreshed 2025 Golf GTI and Golf R. The 2025 Golf GTI starts at $32,445 for the S trim, while the SE trim is priced at $37,420, with an optional Leather Seats Package available for an additional $1,300. The Autobahn trim sits at the top of the lineup with a price of $40,880. For the 2025 Golf R, the standard model is priced at $47,100, while the Black Edition comes in at $48,415. Additionally, an optional Euro Style Package, available for both trims of the Golf R, is offered at $3,795. Destination for all models is $1,225.

GTI S
Pricing starts at $32,445 MSRP for the Golf GTI S trim. The S trim exterior features all new design elements, including a new front bumper and headlights with a red character line, illuminated front logo and a standard lightbar. Two new colors, Alpine Silver Metallic and Slate Blue Metallic, join the palette. The exterior also features 18-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires.

The interior gets a significant upgrade from the outgoing model, featuring new Carbon Gray décor and a freestanding 12.9-inch touchscreen. This system boasts the latest operating system, shared with the ID. Buzz and 2024 ID.4, offering faster software and a more intuitive layout. Plus Speech with AI, Volkswagen’s generative AI-enabled voice assistant, is also available on the MY25 GTI through a Plus Speech subscription in the myVW mobile app. Hard buttons replace the haptic switchgear on the steering wheel and new ventilated 15-watt wireless charging is added for improved functionality. The S trim also includes new safety and visibility features, such as a first aid kit, warning triangle and safety vest, in addition to mechanical Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS).

Standard and available features are improved across all trim levels, including standard navigation, Dynamic Road Sign Display, wired- and wireless App-Connect on the base S trim. IQ.DRIVE® driver assistance technology remains standard across the board.   

GTI SE
Pricing starts at $37,420 MSRP for the Golf GTI SE trim. In addition to the equipment set from the S models, the SE features 18-inch R-design alloy wheels with all-season tires and Light Assist Auto High Beam functionality. The interior features new Clubsport ArtVelours seat covers. An optional Leather Seats Package with driver-seat power adjustment, memory, and front-seat ventilation is also available for an added $1,300. The SE also adds a sunroof, harman/kardon Premium Audio, and KESSY® keyless entry. 

GTI Autobahn
Pricing starts at $40,880 MSRP for the GTI Autobahn. In addition to the equipment set from the SE models, the Autobahn includes DCC® adaptive damping and a new 19-inch alloy wheel design with summer performance tires. The interior features a Head-Up Display (HUD) with 3-zone Climatronic, and ventilated leather seats with driver-seat memory and 12-way power adjustment, in addition to heated rear seats. Autobahn also receives Park Assist Plus.   

Golf R
Starting MSRP for the Golf R is $47,100. Thanks to a 13-horsepower increase, the Golf R is now the most powerful production Golf model ever, with 328 hp on tap. The 7-speed DSG® dual-clutch automatic is the sole transmission option. Visually striking exterior updates include new headlights and front bumper and an illuminated front logo. New standard 19-inch forged alloy wheels are 20% lighter than the previous Golf R wheels, further enhancing handling and performance.

Like the GTI, the R’s interior boasts a new, freestanding 12.9-inch touchscreen with the latest MIB3 operating system, along with navigation, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, dynamic road sign display, wired- and wireless App-Connect, harman/kardon premium audio, and KESSY keyless entry. The R also features a sunroof, new interior décor, driver-seat memory and 12-way power adjustment, Nappa Leather seats, ventilated front seats, heated front and rear outboard seats, and a ventilated 15-watt wireless charging pad.

IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology is standard on all Golf R models, now featuring Park Assist Plus in addition to the previously available systems. New safety features include a first aid kit, warning triangle and safety vest, in addition to mechanical Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) with lateral swivel.

For purists, the Euro Style Package offers fabric seats, sunroof delete, and an Akrapovič® titanium exhaust for enhanced engine acoustics that weighs 15 pounds less than the standard system, available for an additional $3,795. 

Golf R Black Edition
Pricing starts at $48,415 MSRP for the Black Edition. Features build on the Golf R with a new 19-inch gloss black forged alloy wheel design. Available in Mythos Black Metallic, Pure White, and Lapiz Blue Metallic, the Black Edition also features genuine carbon fiber interior décor. Blacked out detailing and accents add to this trim’s flair, inclusive of: “BLACK” badging on the B-pillar, blacked out “R” front door logos, black-painted front and rear brake calipers with “R” logo, black front and rear “R” logos, front and rear “VW” emblems in black, black quad exhaust tips, grille and headlight accents in black, and darkened headlight elements.
