The Horizon Festival is heading to its most requested destination yet—Japan. Announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show livestream, Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch in 2026, bringing players to a breathtaking open-world rendition of Japan’s scenic landscapes.
🇯🇵 Welcome to Horizon Japan
In Forza Horizon 6, players will embark on a journey through Japan’s iconic regions, including Kantō, Chūbu, and Kansai. The game promises to deliver a rich tapestry of environments, from bustling city streets to serene countryside roads, capturing the essence of Japanese culture and automotive heritage.
Forza Horizon 6 will launch first on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026. It will be included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch. Additionally, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are collaborating to bring the game to PlayStation 5 post-launch, expanding its reach to a broader audience.
Art director Don Arceta shared that the team waited until their tools could handle the intricate details of Japan’s diverse landscapes. Experience from Forza Horizon 5’s Hot Wheels expansion even influenced the design of Tokyo’s elevated highways, turning real-world sprawl into something drivable and alive.
While specific release dates and pricing details will be shared in the future, players can add Forza Horizon 6 to their Wishlist on the Microsoft Store or Steam to stay updated. For more information and community discussions, visit the Forza Forums or join the Forza Discord server.
