Henderson, Kincaid, Byng, Buth Win at Championship Off-Road Round 8

7/14/2025

Maxxis athletes dominated the podium at Championship Off-Road Rounds 7 and 8, with Jimmy Henderson, Keegan Kincaid, Nick Byng and Billy Buth among the winners. AMSOIL Championship Off-Road’s ERX Off-Road National was held July 12-13 at ERX Park in Elk River, Minnesota.

Henderson, who joined Thomas on the podium in third place Sunday, had a career-first ERX win. He’s currently second in Pro 4 points. “Going into Round 8, we knew we had a challenge ahead of us. With a damaged front differential and no way to replace them, we started Round 8 with three tires driving instead of four. Even with this challenge we were able to hold second position for the first half of the race. Incredibly, our RAZR AT tires kept digging and held up against the punishing ERX track. With large potholes and ruts developing into race surface, our tire and equipment held strong. We were able to take the lead and our first ERX win,” Henderson said.

Mickey Thomas made the Pro 4 podium in second place at Round 7. “Feels good to be back on the podium,” he said on Instagram. Thomas is fourth in points for the class. Kyle Chaney made the Pro 4 podium Saturday in third place.

Kincaid held the Pro 2 lead at Round 7 until he was hindered by mechanical problems, ultimately finishing fifth. But he came back strong in Round 8 when he drove his RAZR AT tires straight to first place. “Feels great to bounce back Sunday to get the win at ERX! The Maxxis RAZR AT withstood the extreme track conditions all weekend and was a key factor to get us win number 4 on the season. Looking forward to carrying this momentum into Dirt City in a couple weeks,” he said. Kincaid leads the Pro 2 class in points.

Nick Byng’s Super Stock Truck win gave him the overall points lead as well. Byng’s Maxxis Bravo AT-771 tires came through for him again in Round 7, delivering the traction he needed. “No better feeling then getting the truck on top of the box! The @maxxistires Bravo A/T [tires] were the right choice,” he said on social media.

Billy Buth took first place in Pro Buggy Saturday and earned the second-place spot on the podium at Round 8. “Beyond excited to pick up our first win of the year Saturday, as well as another podium Sunday to put us right in the championship hunt. We’ve been putting in the work on this Pro Buggy and finally have it in its happy place. Our Maxxis tires were perfect for the tough conditions of ERX; looking forward to getting to Dirt City here in two weeks to keep the momentum going,” Byng said. He’s just one point away from first place in Pro Buggy points. Chaden Minder, who’s turned in exceptional performances this season, was second in Pro Buggy Saturday and is third in overall points.

Thirteen-year-old Code St. Peter leads the Sportsman SxS class in points and won both rounds this weekend. “Came out on top today! The competition was stacked and nothing about it was easy but we pulled it off. Back-to-back wins and feeling grateful,” he said on Instagram. Bryce Carlson made the class podium Sunday, taking second place.

570 SxS points leader Peyton Weisbrod earned back-to-back podiums this weekend, taking second place Saturday and third place Sunday.

Championship Off-Road Rounds 9 and 10, the Dirt City Off-Road National, are scheduled for July 25-27 at the Dirt City Motorplex in Lena, Wisconsin.
