2025 Formula Drift Pro Championship Competition Results From Round 4 In New Jersey

Adam LZ wins Round 4, claiming his second career victory

EVENT DETAILS

Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Location: Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ
Event: Formula DRIFT PRO Championship Round 4 Competition Results

RESULTS FOR FD PRO ROUND 3

  1. Adam LZ (USA) – Drift HQ E36 BMW
  2. Fredric Aasbo (Norway) – Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra
  3. James Deane (Ireland) – AutoZone Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD
  • Repeating his Englishtown Raceway performance from 2023, LZ claimed his second win in the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship after beating Fredric Aasbo in an incredible Final. The accumulated points propelled LZ from ninth in the standings to third
  • Aasbo joked about being exhausted in the Final after his Top 4 heat against Deane, which needed to run One More Time before the judges could split the multiple FD Champions. His second place finish meant Aasbo extended his championship lead to 20 points
  • Deane secured third place after an intense battle with teenager Hiroya Minowa (Japan) in the Top 8 heats, and a crash-landing in the Top 16 after his RTR Mustang climbed onto the hood of the Garagistic / Pedal Commander / Kumho Tire / BMW 1 Series driven by Rome Charpentier (USA). Deane’s points tally meant he remained second in the championship standings
  • Rookie Connor O’Sullivan (USA) finished fourth in his OSully Racing / US Army BMW, recording his best finish since being promoted from the PROSPEC Championship. He lost in the Top 4 to Adam LZ but impressed everybody with his performance despite a significant power deficit. He also jumped from 29th to 11th in the championship table
  • O’Sullivan’s points haul meant he also took the lead in the Rookie of the Year chase, 12 points from closest rival Jack Shanahan (Ireland) in 19th
  • Minowa, who won Round 3, was defeated by Deane in the Top 16 and dropped one place to fourth overall
  • Fans gave Jeff Jones (USA) perhaps the loudest cheer of the night when he approached the starting line in his Evol Auto Works / Prisma Labs / BIG Drift Energy / Nissan 370Z. The car had been crushed under a fallen tree during Thursday afternoon’s storm but the teams rallied around Jeff and helped to repair the damage. Sadly, Jeff lost his Top 32 heat to Daniel Stuke (USA)
  • In the 2025 Formula DRIFT Auto Cup, Aasbo again helped Toyota maintain its lead while BMW passed Nissan into second. In the Tire Cup, GT Radial passed Kenda to take the lead
