The result is a two-pronged approach that brings this beloved 5-spoke design to a broader range of vehicles, from vintage air-cooled icons to cutting-edge supercars.
The 517K, formerly known simply as the 517, is optimized for low-offset vehicles and classic applications, especially in 17″ and 18″ diameters. Its hidden-hardware construction allows for a clean look and a deeper lip, making it ideal for cars like the air-cooled 911 or Ferrari F40. Meanwhile, the new 517 offers the same vintage-inspired design, but with exposed hardware and engineered to supports both low- and high-offset vehicles, as well as modern sizing up to 24″. This includes options like HRE’s FMR® and CRBN® barrel technologies for performance and weight reduction.
Both the 517 and 517K are built around a timeless 5-spoke aesthetic and are available in all of HRE’s standard and optional finishes. The expansion of the line means customers can now enjoy the classic look of the 517 with today’s most advanced construction techniques, materials, and customization options.
