Last week, I was scrolling Facebook in the group ‘Low Miles No Miles’ when I came across a story from a guy named Tim Fabrizio, who called himself ‘the Barn Find King’. Tim told the story about how he found a rare Lamborgini Diablo in Central Illinois for Ed Bolian, the founder of VinWiki and Cannonball record holder. Tim took to the VinWiki YouTube channel to tell the entire story of how he came to find the car.
The Lambo was featured in the 1998 Victoria’s Secret Christmas catalog, and had become something of a legend amongst Lamborghini enthusiasts. Many thought the vehicle was sitting wrecked in a garage in California, until Tim found it.
Check out the video below, the story is worth your time and just unbelievable.
Even more unbeleivable is that the car didn’t need much to get it running. The first drive and getting it is documented here:
Videos about the Diablo are appearing on VinWiki’s channel and the shop it’s being restored at, DC MotorWerks. It’s a fascinating series and definitely worth falling down the rabbit hole.
