The Sports Car Club of America® and Vitour Performance Tires are proud to announce a partnership that spans a multitude of motorsport competition types, offering SCCA members the opportunity to compete on the Vitour Tempesta P1 200 treadwear ultra high performance tire in SCCA Autocross and Time Trials events, with a generous contingency package celebrating top performances. The partnership, which is effective immediately, also sees Vitour as the preferred tire in one series and the presenting sponsor of another, along with offering the Club’s membership a variety of unique opportunities.
Vitour will be the presenting sponsor of the SCCA ProSolo® Super, Ladies, and Bonus Challenge awards. Furthermore, Vitour will be the preferred tire of the Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge, Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals, and Tire Rack SCCA Shootout, plus a sponsor of the Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Tour.
As part of the partnership, Vitour will sponsor the Test-n-Tune course at the remaining 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Tour events as well as the 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships in Lincoln, NE. This collaboration will also enable Solo National Championships competitors to try out the Vitour Tempesta P1 by taking test runs in their own cars using Vitour-supplied tires and wheels.
Contingency payouts are part of the Vitour-SCCA partnership, with Vitour offering contingency payouts for those utilizing their tires in Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Tour and ProSolo Championship Series events, as well as during Tire Rack SCCA Shootout and Time Attack Challenge weekends. Information regarding those contingency offerings can be found here for Shootout and Challenge information, and by clicking here for National Solo competition.
Contingency registration is found at my.scca.com under: My Account > My Contingency.
SCCA members will also save money on the purchase of Vitour products through an SCCA Member Benefits package.
“This partnership is important for both SCCA and Vitour USA,” said Heyward Wagner, SCCA’s Vice President of Rally/Solo and Experiential Programs. “Through this partnership, SCCA is able to invest more deeply in the member experience, making events more fun, dynamic, and financially rewarding. And, while many have been impressed with the performance of the P1, both in pace and wear, this partnership stands as testimony to the work done by the Vitour USA team to elevate the brand in the United States.”
SCCA’s and Vitour’s partnership is one born from within the Club, as Reed is a 10-year member of the SCCA, participating in both Time Trials and autocross competition.
“Getting SCCA approval has been a long journey, but one made easier by my unwavering belief that the Vitour Tempesta P1 would be a valuable addition to both the SCCA and the broader grassroots racing community,” said Reed. “Becoming a partner and sponsor of the SCCA – and being named the ‘Preferred Tire’ – is both an honor and a privilege. We hope our commitment to SCCA and grassroots motorsports is clear through our partnership, sponsorship, and direct contributions to members via contingency programs across a variety of disciplines.”
