for four-race 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship

     ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico – Led by King Shocks, BFGoodrich Tires, Polaris RZR, and Fox Racing Shocks, SCORE International has announced a record US$1.6 million Contingency postings, so far, entering the four-race 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship.

     This year’s adventurous season opens with the King Shocks 38th SCORE San Felipe 250, to be held April 2-6 to be held along the azure waters of the tranquil Sea of Cortez in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico.

     The World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization, in operation for over 51 years, produces the globally known race brands—SCORE Baja 1000, SCORE Baja 500, SCORE Baja 400, and SCORE San Felipe 250—which have all been held in Baja California, Mexico for the past nine years.

SCORE COMMENTS

     “After more than five decades, it’s incredible that we are entering the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship with a record amount in Contingency postings with several more to come,” said Jim Ryan, SCORE Vice-President of Marketing and Sales.  “SCORE has more than 30 companies on board the SCORE Express which reflects our commitment to help our racers compete at this level of desert racing. The invaluable commitments from these industry companies provide extensive support with cash, product and/or services payouts to racers who use their products.”

    “While each of these Contingency sponsors is vitally important to our SCORE racers and to SCORE itself, four companies in particular have stepped up this year with over-the-top postings, including King Shocks, BFGoodrich Tires, Polaris RZR, and Fox Racing Shocks.”

KING SHOCKS 

(Including US$10,000 for Overall SF250)

     Starting its 14th season of the SCORE Official Shock Absorber, King Shocks returns at the title sponsor of the season-opening King Shocks 38th SCORE San Felipe 250 by adding a US$10,000 contingency bonus to the overall winner of this year’s race.

BFGOODRICH TIRES

(US$50,000 bonus payouts for 2025)

     The SCORE Official Tire of SCORE for 48 years, BFGoodrich Tires continues to offer the premier pit-service program to racers as well as an extensive Contingency program for each race.  For this year’s SCORE San Felipe 250, BFGoodrich Tires is offering US$6,500 contingency bonuses spread out to the class winners SCORE Trophy Truck (unlimited), SCORE Trophy Truck Legend, Trophy Truck Spec, Class 1, Pro UTV Open, and Pro UTV Forced Induction. For the 2025 season, BFGoodrich Tires has posted US$50,000 in Contingency bonuses.

POLARIS RZR RACING

(US$105,000 payouts for 2025)

     The Official Utility Vehicle of SCORE since 2014, Polaris RZR Racing has posted an overall US$105,000 Contingency bonus for the Overall UTV podium finishers each race. For this year’s SCORE San Felipe 250, Polaris has posted bonus purses of US$10,000, US$5,000, and US$2,500 for the top three UTV overall finishers.

FOX RACING

(US$300,000 payouts for 2025)

     Celebrating over 50 years as a shock absorber manufacturer, Fox Racing has posted a US$300,000 contingency payout program in cash and/or product credit for the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship.

     At the top of its payout program for the SCORE San Felipe 250 are US$20,000, US$10,000, and US$5,000 contingency payouts to the top three overall Pro Truck/Open Wheel finishers.
