Cadillac has announced the 2026 ESCALADE IQL, an all-electric variant of the Escalade with increased passenger and cargo capacity. It will be produced at GM’s Factory ZERO plant in Detroit starting in mid-2025 and will be sold in the U.S., Canada, and other global markets.
Design
The ESCALADE IQL features a longer body than the ESCALADE IQ, allowing for more third-row space and rear storage. A front trunk (eTrunk) provides an additional 12.2 cubic feet of secure storage.
Inside, the IQL offers a technology-focused cabin with an available Executive Second Row package, which includes stowable tray tables, personal screens, a rear command center, dual wireless phone charging, and power-adjustable seats with heating, ventilation, massage functions, and headrest speakers. The third row gains 4.4 inches of legroom (36.7 inches total) and an extra inch of headroom (38.2 inches total).
Technology
The ESCALADE IQL includes a 55-inch curved display with voice control, navigation, and a dedicated interface. It seats up to seven passengers and has a power-folding third row. Standard audio is an AKG Studio 21-speaker system, with an available 42-speaker setup. Additional features include:
- Dolby Atmos support
- Standard Super Cruise driver assistance (three years of service included)
- Optional 5G Wi-Fi hotspot and OnStar services
- HD streaming and browser compatibility
- Vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging capability
Performance
The ESCALADE IQL has an estimated range of up to 460 miles and can gain 116 miles of range in 10 minutes using DC fast charging. The vehicle is powered by a 24-module, 205-kWh GM battery. Other performance specs include:
- 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque (with Velocity Max mode)
- 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds
- Estimated 7,500-lb towing capacity
- Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive suspension
- Independent front and rear suspension
- 24-inch wheels with 35-inch tires
