To ensure the Contour could handle the demands of competitive racing, we put it to the ultimate test at the 2024 Baja 1000. Installed in the #3930 Pro Stock UTV class vehicle, the seat faced grueling conditions and came out on top.

“Over the years I’ve driven leaf sprung and linked trucks in addition to racing UTVs with virtually every seat on the market and the entire PRP gamut. What stands out about the Contour Suspension seat is the strategic placement of support, foam density and thickness. I have always raced with composite seats so when Jay asked how I felt about spending 10+ consecutive hours in a suspension seat during The Baja 1000 I was hesitant. Suspension seats always left me constantly adjusting my harnesses as the foam compresses and pushing my butt/back towards the rear. With the Contour I didn’t have any of that. I had less fatigue in my back, spine and shoulder blades than ever before. I also didn’t feel the need to adjust my harnesses which allowed me to focus on navigating the harsh terrain at night with one less distraction. There is no doubt the same transfers to the recreational off road ripping through Ocotillo, Glamis, Sand Hollow, Moab or your local trails.”
This success has paved the way for the Contour to take on the legendary King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley. With racers like Brian Deegan set to use the Contour, it’s clear this seat is ready for the rocks, climbs, and chaos of the ultimate off-road challenge.
From Sketches to Stitches: The Making of the Contour
The journey of the Contour began with a vision from PRP’s Marketing Manager, Justin Constant, during the summer of 2024. Inspired by a post from the 2024 Desert Storm in Lake Havasu, Arizona, Justin drew up the concept with one goal in mind: to revolutionize seat design in the UTV and automotive world.
Once submitted, the design quickly gained traction. Every detail, from its modern aesthetics to its functionality, was crafted to perfection. And for the first time in PRP history, the Contour comes standard with our upgraded diamond stitch, adding an extra layer of sophistication.
