Cash and Competition at the NORRA Mexican 1000

3/13/2025

If you’re looking for the greatest Baja racing experience, come to the NORRA Mexican 1000. NORRA is the Baja racing originator, not an imitator; NORRA created off road racing in 1967. Today we offer a racing experience like no other. UTV classes first qualify for starting positions for day one. Once racing begins in Ensenada on April 26th, competitors will battle each day for six days straight as they make their way down the Baja Peninsula. All along the way you have opportunities to make improvements on the vehicle and fine tune your team. If you have a setback, that’s all it is. You can make up time on the next stage or following day. Something as simple as a flat tire does not take you out of contention for the win and winning is big.

First place finishers in Pro Turbo earn 10 thousand dollars. The same purse exists for Pro UTV. First overall UTV takes home 15 thousand dollars on top of their other winnings. At last year’s NORRA 500 PJ Jones took home a big 20K check when he won the Pro Turbo class and the Fab School UTV overall trophy. This year’s class and UTV overall winner will take home 25K. Second overall UTV earns 3K and 2K goes to third place overall.

After experiencing the Mexican 1000 just once, you too will be hooked. Everything you need to know about the Mexican 1000 and NORRA 500 can be found at www.norra.com. Go to the site and find out for yourself why NORRA has exploded in popularity. You can experience the same exhilaration and sense of achievement the pioneering thrill seekers sought in 1967 when NORRA created sanctioned off road racing in Baja. Don’t miss out on the prizes, competition and Baja experience found at all NORRA events.
